Offering top-notch watersports experiences along the breathtaking southwest coast of Mauritius, Dkite School Mauritius is a developing company in the sports, leisure, and tourism sector.
Darryl Auguste founded the school, which mostly serves students in Le Morne, La Gaulette, and Île aux Bénitiers. To provide the greatest experience, the locations are adjusted based on the daily wind and weather conditions.
All skill levels can enjoy safe, premium, and entertaining watersports services from DKite School Mauritius. Although the school provides surfing, wing foiling, and kitesurfing, it is particularly well-known for its practice in kitesurfing, which continues to be the company’s primary focus.
A Passion Built on Experience
The founder of DKite School Mauritius developed a strong passion for kitesurfing in 2015, inspired by his daily runs along the Mauritian coastline, where he regularly watched kite surfers performing impressive tricks across the lagoon. Captivated by the sport’s blend of freedom, technical skill, and connection with nature, he gradually immersed himself in kitesurfing and decided to pursue it professionally.
Before launching DKite School Mauritius, he spent three years working at a kitesurfing school in Greece, where he refined his teaching techniques, strengthened his safety expertise, and developed a deep understanding of client needs. He also travelled to internationally recognized kitesurfing destinations such as Zanzibar and Dubai, gaining valuable exposure to different wind conditions, teaching methods, and professional operating standards.
From Vision to Reality
Driven by his increasing self-assurance, global exposure, and standing in the kitesurfing scene, Darryl came back to Mauritius and established DKite School Mauritius. Early on in the company’s existence, he had to handle daily operations, marketing, client communications, and instruction on his own. He persisted and gradually developed the brand with the support of close friends, discipline, and a strong sense of will which is now made Dkite School Mauritius.
